A Blog?!?! What next?

We’ve gone web-crazy! Just as soon as you’ve come to grips with the excitement of following Kick up the Fire on Twitter here we are shocking the world again with our brand new blog. How lovely!

Early 2009 has exploded into a hive of activity for us, starting with Alan joining us on guitar in January from a scary background with metallists Johnny Truant and mentalists Down I Go. Andrew, Thom and I shat a brick and along with our new lightening fingered strummer decided the only thing for it was a name change from Raid on the Arcade to Kick up the Fire.

Nicely timed to coincide with this the great folks at Fender helped us out by providing some amazing guitars and stuff which we’ve been tweaking meticulously in order to rock your socks off like never before!

What better conditions, then, to announce our first ever show as a four piece? The venue; Dirty South in Lewisham; The Libertines old stomping ground. The event; an evening of drinking and dancing including a DJ set by Dirty Pretty Things‘ Didz. Details, as you would expect, are on our myspace page: www.myspace.com/kickupthefiremusic.

We look forward to partying with you, and having some good old natters throughout 2009 and beyond.

Lots of love,

KennyX
